Our not so ordinary gnome turned up to experience the extraordinary event that is The Vibram Tarawera Ultramarathon. 
After mingling with athletes at the start point Gnorman was on his way and was only too happy to pose for pictures with anyone who was willing.
Of course what he was looking forward to were the well stocked buffet style aid stations and the spectacular sight that is the Tarawera Falls. Breathtaking.
After a long day on the trails and some strange looks from the very helpful aid station staff our run of the mill hero finally made his way to the finish line in Kawerau to cap off one hell of a day :-)
