It was Gnormans third year at
The Tarawera Ultramarathon and he was looking forward to a return to Kawerau after
missing out last year due to fire danger in the Tarawera Forest.

Cyclone Lusi put paid to any notions that anybody involved in the race had in making it past Okataina Lodge due to safety concerns. Our littlest companion made himself useful at the adjusted finish line by Lake Okareka as he watched over the finishers medals and greeted each finisher with a smile (well I'm sure it's a smile).
